Guy thimble is also called cable thimble which is used on pole band to work as an interface fitting to connect the guy grip or guy wire. The guy thimble is widely used on the electric power line or dead-end pole line. The cable thimble usually connects with the preformed tension clamp to support and protect the ADSS/OPGW cable.
According to the different shapes, there is another type called Y clevis. It’s because the structure is like letter “Y”. On the one hand of the ball clevis is a ball head. On the other hand, there is a steel pin or hex bolt going through the two holes of the ball clevis. So that, there is space for the U clevis to connect the ball clevis.
The cutting tools feature an advancing speed setting automatically switching from a fast advancing speed of cable cutting blades to a slower cutting speed – tools are provided with a maximum pressure valve (MPC1 manometer is available upon request to check the proper setting of the valve).
A pole band is designed to suitable for use on poles of pole top diameter 150mm to 280mm. We have supplied a diameter of 155mm, 185mm, 230mm, and so on.
The pole band has a stay tension strength not exceeding 29kn. While the result will be different if a gain grid or some other device is used to transfer the shear load from the pole bolt.
One is the slide-out variety and the other incorporates a removable lid. As for the latter one, the tray can be pulled out and lowered to 10 degree working angle or even further 45 degree working angle to provide ease of access for maintenance or installation work.
